Founded in 2008 by twin brothers Bryce and Tyler Kloster, Karakoram was created with one goal: to push backcountry gear to the next level. With backgrounds in mechanical engineering and decades of skiing and snowboarding experience, the founders built Karakoram to combine technical expertise with a deep passion for the mountains.

What started with the groundbreaking Split30 splitboard system quickly evolved into a full line of innovative binding and interface technology designed for serious backcountry riders. Karakoram focuses on creating stronger, more efficient, and more reliable systems that improve touring performance and downhill control.
